SEC’s Crypto Task Force to Host Roundtables with Small Firms Nationwide
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is expanding its engagement with the crypto sector through a series of roundtable discussions targeting small firms. Commissioner Hester Peirce's Crypto Task Force will prioritize companies with fewer than 10 employees and less than two years of market presence—entities often overshadowed by larger Web3 projects in previous regulatory dialogues.
Five cities will host these meetings between August and October 2025, beginning with Berkeley on August 4 and concluding with an unspecified location on October 3. The initiative reflects the SEC's recognition that emerging regulatory frameworks must account for the sector's diverse participants. "Our outreach must be as comprehensive as the impact of these regulations," Peirce stated.
